ABL TECHNIC EXPANDS INTO USA
In line with ABL Technic’s strategic plan, the company began production in Fairburn, USA, 20 miles south of Atlanta during July..
The new facility is equipped with state of the art stripping technology with which it will serve the needs of the Borbet Group. ABL Technic is also hoping to serve the VW, BMW and Mercedes Benz plants that are in close proximity. ABL-TECHNIC makes use of globally tried-and-tested ABL processes, technologies and logistical concepts in entering the USA, enabling them to fulfill the high demands of the automotive industry.
This follows on the heels of January's expansion into Portugal, where they are currently servicing the needs of Autoeuropa amongst other customers. ABL-TECHNIC Portugal primarily specialises in the field of thermal stripping. Here, painting aids are thermally stripped using state-of-the-art processes and subsequently undergo after-treatment in a fully-automatic conveyorised blasting system.
STRONG START FOR INVOTEC GROUP NEW MD
July saw record sales output for Invotec Group. The Group produces a broad range of complex, high-reliability printed circuit board solutions for clients in the avionics, aerospace and defence sectors.
New MD, Tim Tatton, who only took over in May 2012, previously having been both Group Operations Director and Manager of Operations at Tamworth, attributed the record figures to the winning of new programs within its existing customer base and the development of some exciting new client relationships.
He commented: “These figures are great news and they demonstrate our proven ability in supplying time critical, high technology PCBs. This is very encouraging against the back-drop of pessimism and uncertainty that continues to weigh heavily on the global economy.”
The Group also produces PCBs for use in industrial, medical, telecommunications infrastructure and security sectors. Reliability, quality and consistency are essential in these market sectors; Invotec meet these demands by delivering a flexible, committed and competitive manufacturing and service proposition.
“Operationally we have to ensure we keep pace with the underlying demand; it is testament to our philosophy of continuous improvement and the ongoing efforts of our staff that we continue to deliver on our promises.”
